At American Stage, we are aiming to expand our pool of qualified artists to work with our Education and Outreach Department on a variety of programs. Teaching Artists will collaborate with the American Stage Education & Outreach team to develop lesson plans, curriculum, and content that align with American Stage’s mission to provide quality arts education to our community and highlight the voices of all peoples. Our Teaching Artists work with a vibrant, diverse community of students to cultivate meaningful skills that serve everyone from future artists to curious beginners.
For consideration, interested candidates should submit a resume and cover letter, area of interest and expertise (Acting, Technical Theatre, Musical Theatre, Improv, Playwriting, etc.), and any teaching experience, including the age range of students taught.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
Schedule:
4-8 hours per week, pending availability and programming.
Pay:
Lead Instructor: $50 per hour, Teaching Assistant: $30 per hour.
